Regenerative Arts
We are proud to support the arts here at Punta Mona but it’ll likely look a bit different than your art classes growing up. We strive to use natural and recycled materials to create art that is functional, impactful, and beautiful. These are long processes that start with harvesting things like clay or natural dyes.
What is Regenerative Art?
Regenerative art explores creative processes that integrate social and natural systems, using arts to revitalize links between human communities and the ecosystem they inhabit. And, inspired in the holistic approach of regenerative agriculture Regenerative art uses use the work to create healing within the environment and communities. Regenerative art restore, renew and revitalize. It challenges us to see, feel and think in new ways, encouraging to respond more effectively to the imperative of imagining and creating better futures. Regenerative arts are engaging and thought-provoking, and sometimes confronting.

5. They build on and extend the values and principles of sustainability and the circular economy
Arts Week 2021
We were blown away by what was created this summer when we held our first inaugural Arts Week. We shared art that was local, international, modern, indigenous, natural, recycled, visual, tactile, expressive, temporary, and long lasting. With an abundance of local scholarships and programming in both Spanish and English we were proud of how inclusive the event was; Fue fantástico para escuchar tanto español. We went in with the intention to make space for more artists and the results were beyond our dreams.
